Holiday lookbook

So sorry for the lack of blogging the past couple of weeks, I've recently started a new job and everything's been a bit hectic! But I'm back and want to share with you my holiday lookbook from my recent holiday to Portugal. I was really excited to raid through my summer wardrobe and wear those outfits for the last time before A/W sets in!

I had a bit of an obsession this year with ASOS Swimwear. Not only are their bikinis bang on trend and really reasonable prices, but their beachwear is amazing.

Ripped Denim

Ripped denim is back this summer. If you're thinking about throwing out your old unwanted jeans, DON'T! This is your chance to do a bit of customisation. Or if you've been wanting to buy yourself some ripped denim jeans all summer but don't want to spend a lot, then get yourself to Matalan or Primark and do a bit of denim DIY.

The jeans featured in today's post are from Matalan and cost £14, a third of the price you might pay in other high-street stores! I then made a cut across the knee, while wearing them to make sure they're straight. To fray the edges I used the edge of the scissors and you can do this however much or little you want! Add extra cuts if you want extra ripped jeans!

I've gone for the minimal luxe look in this post. I picked the wrap top and sliders up from H&M, one of my favourite shops at the moment for Spring/Summer 14 style.

Kimono

My LOTW feature's my favourite Kimono. These are everywhere at the moment and it's a great way to add layers and colour to your look. I picked this Kimono up from Primark from their beachwear section. That's a great place to look if you're trying to get your hands on one, as there are some really love prints! I love this trend at the moment because it's so versatile. You can wear one in the day with riding boots for a more casual look, or in the evening with a pair of jeans and stilettos! I picked out the colour in the Kimono for my nails and makeup, keeping it nude and natural. Topshop makeup is a great go-to brand if you don't want to splurge but still want good quality. I find these lipsticks just as good as Mac and half the price, the nail polish also stays on really well. What completes this look is the hat, which you can find really easily on the high street at the moment and is also great for Autumn/Winter.
