Floral Tribute

Floral print is in full bloom this season. The bright and vibrant colours and patterns embrace the fun in fashion. It’s a chance to bring out your inner lady, from dresses to heels, trousers to bags, you will find this trend everywhere on the high street. If going top-to-toe in floral seems too daunting this summer, embrace the fun with a statement floral necklace.

Taupe & Pearl are the perfect place to find floral statement jewellery

My Floral Tribute post is focused around high street bargains. There are some amazing summer sales at the moment and it's the perfect time to pick up pieces from the Floral trend. I found this shift dress in the F&F Clothing sale, a place many people don't think to look. I've bought quite a few amazing things from F&F and so if you're looking for a summer steal I would definitely recommend checking it out online. I paired the dress with some green stilettos for a more evening look, but the great thing about this summer floral dress is they can be worn any time. The jewellery is another amazing find from Matalan, I couldn't rave about them any more for their jewellery!

Shift dress - F&F Clothing Sale £11
Shoes - ASOS Sale £25
Bracelet - Matalan £6
Sunglasses - Primark £2
Rings - Primark £3
Nail Polish - Primark £1

Total look = £48

For a more casual/day look, I've gone top-to-toe in Primark. This another great floral print dress and I just love the colours, a great addition to your summer wardrobe for only £13!

Dress- Primark £13
Shoes - Primark £12
Hair band - Primark £2.50
Rings - Primark £3

Total look - £30.50

This fun and flirty print is fueling the co-ordinate trend. Everywhere on the high-street you can find shorts and jackets, skirts and bralets making a statement. What I love about this is the chance to mix and match. Buying a co-ordinate look means that you’re getting 3 for the price of one. This makes this trend an investment for your wardrobe!

Orange is the New Black

Orange is this season's surprise colour. Making a statement on the catwalks of Spring/Summer 14, Orange came in a variety of shades, from dusty brick to coral hues, and there was nothing it didn’t touch. Personally, I think it’s a great summer trend and one I have made sure is featuring in my wardrobe! Everything from evening dresses to nail polish, from sandals to clutch bags, Orange has made its mark. But, one thing to be aware of is not looking tangoed. We all know what being too heavy handed with the fake tan can look like… So make sure it’s a feature in your look, and not taking over.

Jacket - River Island £50
Shorts - Zara £29.99
Bralet - Fashion Bible UK £22.99
Shoes - ASOS Sale
Necklace - Matalan £8

Picking a staple orange piece, I chose these shorts from Zara, which are perfect for summer. As a more going out look, I teamed it with a white bralet but then adding a jacket over the top to complete the look. I have to admit, when I first saw this jacket in River Island I fell in love, but when I saw the price tag I questioned whether I really wanted to spend that on a jacket. Taking it to the changing room, I thought I have to give it a chance, and that was it, I was sold. Spending this amount on one item can seem daunting, but think of it as an investment. This jacket can be worn time and time again, in the day teamed with jeans, or in the evening over your summer dress. Picking out the pastel colours in the jacket, I paired it with cigarette trousers and stilettos for an evening out.

Kimono

My LOTW feature's my favourite Kimono. These are everywhere at the moment and it's a great way to add layers and colour to your look. I picked this Kimono up from Primark from their beachwear section. That's a great place to look if you're trying to get your hands on one, as there are some really love prints! I love this trend at the moment because it's so versatile. You can wear one in the day with riding boots for a more casual look, or in the evening with a pair of jeans and stilettos! I picked out the colour in the Kimono for my nails and makeup, keeping it nude and natural. Topshop makeup is a great go-to brand if you don't want to splurge but still want good quality. I find these lipsticks just as good as Mac and half the price, the nail polish also stays on really well. What completes this look is the hat, which you can find really easily on the high street at the moment and is also great for Autumn/Winter.

Kimono - Primark £8
Top - Matalan £7
Jeans - Topshop £40
Riding Boots - Topshop £98
Hat - Forever 21 £15
Nails - Topshop 'Mannequin' £5
Lips - Topshop 'Saint' £8
